Course description

This program is a hybrid of online and distant learning, including in class lectures and demonstrations necessary for success in the Esthetics profession. In addition, to qualify and equip the student to pass the Utah State licensing examination, students can develop and practice Esthetic skills, under the supervision of licensed instructor, in a professional setting.

Course Goals

After completion of the course, graduates will be prepared to pass the state board exams and Prepare student to be "salon/spa ready" as a professional Esthetician. This course prepares the student for employment in the cosmetology industry as an esthetician, salon/spa owner and/or manager, or as a technician or product representative in the beauty industry. After the graduate has successfully passed their State Board Exam, they are qualified to work as a licensed Esthetician in the State of Utah. 

Course Format / Instructional Methods

The program will be taught online by CIMA Milady to give you the flexibility and convenience to have access to each lesson planned. The instructor may also use different techniques to teach the course including, lectures, class discussions, demonstrations, online quizzes & tests, and hands-on practical experience.  Audiovisual aids and guest speakers may also be implemented.

am i a good fit for this program?

  • Why? Most esthetician and cosmetology schools do not spend a lot of time on lashing which typically will leave you purchasing an additional lash certification class. My program will go in depth about lashing and you will feel confident to take lash clients with me on site when any issue or question arises!

  • Why? If you have already started practicing lashing, but you want to open your own lash business my program allows you to work and charge legally while earning hours towards your esthetician license.

  • Many of us have families and busy work schedules, but that shouldnt deprive you from getting your school hours in! My program allows you to essentially pick your own hours without taking away from your personal life.

Frequently asked questions

  • This program can be between 10-12 months. After you will have to test out to get your esthetician license!

  • I am a licensed Esthetician instructor by the state of Utah. When I sign you on as an apprentice you will be able to legally take models and charge.

  • You will be required to meet a minimum of 15 hours a week to be on track to test out.

  • No, you have the flexibility and will be able to set your own schedule! (while meeting the minimum requirements per week)
